Summary, etc. Det är juletid på Gotland och snart dags för jullov för Emil och hans kompisar. Men innan det börjar ska en extraordinär tillställning gå av stapeln, nämligen VM i pepparkakshus (vilket naturligtvis står för Visby mästerskap). Alla mellanstadiebarn på ön får vara med i tävlingen, och Emil, Ubbe, Alva och Sokrates sätter genast i gång att baka sina bidrag.
